Now for the preliminary results. We found that Microsoft Power BI is by far the most popular BI tool, with Tableau in second place. This is consistent with anecdotal experience – talk to users about BI tools and they’ll most likely mention Power BI and Tableau.
Next, let’s analyze the components that make up the BI tool’s scorecard. The chart below breaks down the calculated index score using a 100% stacked bar chart designed to show the relative percentages of the various components of the final index score. Power BI scores higher on demand (number of job postings), while Tableau scores higher on supply (number of people listing a skill on their profile).
